Writer, director, and producer Nancy Meyers, who's famous for using gorgeous settings to tell her touching stories, is set to step back behind the camera for an untitled movie that Warner Bros. will release on Dec. 25, 2027, the studio has confirmed to **.

As she did in her previously beloved films, including romantic comedies *Something's Gotta Give*, *The Holiday*, and I*t's Complicated*, Meyers is set to write and produce the projects, as well as direct.

Several familiar actors are in final talks to star: Penelope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey, and Owen Wilson. Notably, one of Culkin's first jobs was on a film that Meyers cowrote: 1991's *Father of the Bride*. And Law was one of the leading men in *The Holiday* in 2006.

A logline is not yet available, despite reports of one.

In addition to Meyers, Ilona Herzberg, who executive produced *It's Complicated* and films such as *Rachel Getting Married* and *Evan Almighty*, will also produce here.

Diana Pokorny, who produced the *Horrible Bosses* movies and 2000 comedy *Hanging Up,* will executive produce Meyers' latest.

The last movie that Meyers directed was 2015's *The Intern*, which starred Robert DeNiro interning for executive Anne Hathaway. Meyers also helmed *Father of the Bride Part 3 (ish)*, a short that served as a sequel to the heartwarming '90s comedies she wrote that followed Annie (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), the adult daughter of Steve Martin and Keaton's characters, getting married and having a baby. (The movies had been directed by her former husband, the late Charles Shyer.)

A romantic comedy that Meyers had previously planned for Netflix was scrapped, EW reported in March 2023. She and the studio couldn't agree on a budget, according to *The Hollywood Reporter*. Meyers had teased on social media that the movie she had planned was called *Paris Paramount*, "from a quote by the brilliant and elegant comedy director (dare I say creator of the romantic comedy) Ernst Lubitsch."

She added that the film would be about "a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do. As always, Lubitsch said it best."

In the image accompanying her caption, Meyers shared the quote from the German director, which read, "I've been to Paris, France, and I've been to Paris, Paramount, and frankly, I prefer Paris, Paramount."**
