Logan Pereira has a heartfelt message for one of his idols: Miley Cyrus!
Season 4 of Love on the Spectrum features three new cast members, including 26-year-old Hannah Montana superfan Pereira. After revealing that the beloved Disney Channel series is his favorite show, he tells PEOPLE what draws him to Cyrus, 33, and her iconic character.
"She taught me that life is what you make it, so let's make it right,” Pereira says, quoting a popular Hannah Montana song. “That's what I like about her.”
He then reveals what he would tell Cyrus if he could speak to her today.
“I would just say, ‘I was such a big fan of your show in the 2000s, late 2000s, and I really learned a lot from you,’” he says. “‘I just want to know, how's the music for you? And how are you doing today? And what encouraged you to do music?'”

New to the dating world, Pereira also opens up about how he approached potential romantic relationships when he joined Love on the Spectrum.
“I got into costumes, and then I went on some practice dates, one practice date, and I tried my very best to go on a couple dates,” he reflects, adding of his date with Hailey: “I tried my best to impress that girl.”

While he says “I still need to look for love,” Pereira shares how his participation in the Netflix series contributed to his personal growth.
“It's just really nice to talk to somebody I don't know,” he says. “When I was in high school, I saw a lot of people — forgive me for saying this — I saw a lot of people making out, hugging in front of the school, and I was a little jealous. But now I get to do it, and it's just exciting.”
Pereira isn’t the only Love on the Spectrum star with an admiration for Hannah Montana. Earlier this month, Abbey Romeo got the chance to meet Cyrus in person while attending the premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.
A video posted on Instagram captured the sweet moment, in which Romeo opened up about how she related to the iconic Disney character during a conversation with Cyrus. “I felt like two people, like you in the show, that's what it means to me,” Romeo explained. “Because I’m on the autism spectrum, and I related to your show, and I used to love watching you growing up.”
“My real self is average. My other self is on the spectrum,” she added. “Just like how your true self is Miley Stewart, and then your secret pop star was Hannah Montana.”
“I love that,” Cyrus replied. “So what’s your big difference? Do you feel more confident as one? I feel more confident when I’m in the wig.”
Romeo, who put on sunglasses to match the singer, later exclaimed, “Wow,” before Cyrus quipped, “I’ve seen you on TV, and you’ve seen me on TV.” After Cyrus left, Romeo turned to the camera and declared, “I just met Miley. Heart’s racing.”
Love on the Spectrum is streaming on Netflix.
