Druski has the life he wants, but not because he's moodboarding

The comedian and internet personality says mood boards are "just a bunch of pictures"

Druski spoke with PEOPLE about his goals for 2026

Moodboarding and creating a visual collage of inspiration is an easy way for some people to zero in on their goals — but it isn’t for everyone.

Internet comedian and personality Druski shares with PEOPLE that he’s left mood boards in the past, and won't be revisiting the idea in the new year.

“I don't do that. I let that go a long time ago," he says. "I used to do that back in the day. Those don't work. It's just a bunch of pictures. I don't do good with those."

Instead, the 31-year-old comedian says he likes to do things the old-fashioned way.

"I like to write down, on just a regular piece of paper," he says.

Druksi is currently working on a series of commercials with Zoe Saldaña, who, from his suggestion, is reconsidering her mood board strategy.

“I think I'm gonna take his advice because I always put so much weight on wanting to do it as a mood board," the Avatar actress tells PEOPLE. "I spend all my time, all my energy, just getting all the items for it, that I don't have enough energy to put it together.”

“Throw out the mood boards,” Druski chimes in.

While you won't find Druski's 2026 plans beautifully laid out with pictures on a vision board, he says his goal is to keep “expanding in everything" next year.

“Movies, TV, just everything that we're working on this year. I hope it transpires just as much in the upcoming year," he says.

Despite not moodboarding, the comedian had a big 2025. He was featured on Justin Bieber’s Grammy-nominated album SWAG, was ranked on Forbes' Top Creators list and starred in various commercials, including a Dunkin’ Donuts Super Bowl ad.

Saldaña also had a big year in 2025, winning her first Oscar and starring in Elio and Avatar: Fire and Ash. As for 2026, she says she’s looking forward to “a good night's sleep" and "a good read.”

“I want to be a better manager of my time because life's just so fleeting, and I love what I do. I love it so much, and I give 120%. I wanna make sure that I'm giving 120% to my life and think, and what really brings me joy," she says.

Druski and Saldaña star in a new T-Mobile advertising spot with actor Harvey Guillén, which focuses on the network's new 15-minute switch experience, which lets customers switch carriers in just 15 minutes.

Their T-Mobile ad will premiere on Jan. 3.
