Chuck Norris' family is urging fans not to believe everything they see online regarding his death.
The family called out social media users circulating AI-generated posts about the actor, who died following an undisclosed medical emergency at 86 on March 19, in a statement posted to Norris' Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
"We are aware that since Chuck's passing, there have been a number of AI-generated videos and posts circulating online that contain false and misleading information regarding the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present," the family wrote.
Norris is survived by his wife, Gena O'Kelley, five children — Mike, Eric, Dina, and twins Dakota and Danilee — and 13 grandchildren.
Although his family members did not confirm which posts they were referring to, AI photos that some claimed to be from Norris' funeral made the rounds just days after his death. In the fake images, actors like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Bruce Willis, and Mel Gibson were shown gathered together in front of a casket at an alleged memorial service for Norris.
"These claims are entirely untrue," the family's statement continued. "This includes fabricated reports of past medical issues, as well as false narratives surrounding family relationships."

The actor and martial artist's loved ones issued a plea to the public to trust only verified information. "We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative," their message concluded.
